The bottom bracket is the hidden heart of every bicycle: invisible from the outside, but essential for turning every watt into pure speed. With this project, Campagnolo has redesigned every detail to minimise friction and maximise smoothness.
The ULTRA Ceramic bearings are at the heart of this innovation. They are equipped with silicon nitride balls selected according to aerospace standards and offer perfect roundness, total absence of impurities, and a flawless surface. The result is optimal, longer-lasting, and uncompromising glide.
The high-performance resin internal cage, designed to reduce friction and noise between the balls, also contributes to performance. Furthermore, the double seal system, internal and external, protects the bearings from external agents, ensuring consistent cleanliness and smoothness over time.
This evolution of the Campagnolo system with ceramic bearings integrated into the crankset axis has not only improved performance but also reduced weight: the BSA version weighs just 49g, i.e. 3g less than the standard version. With the new bottom bracket, every pedal stroke becomes smoother, quieter, and more efficient: an invisible technology, but one that makes a real difference in the saddle.
