How to Maintain Your KMC X-FLAT Waxed Chain


Care Intervals

  • Road bikes: Maintain every 250 km or at least once per month

  • MTB, cyclocross, and wet conditions: Maintain every 100 km


Rewaxing Steps

  1. Ensure the chain is completely dry before applying wax

  2. Shake the KMC GO Wax bottle well

  3. Apply to the inside of the chain, one full rotation

  4. Do not wipe off excess wax

  5. Allow to dry fully before riding, especially in wet weather


Tip: No dewaxing is required — simply reapply when needed to keep your drivetrain protected and running smoothly.
