Gear Hanger Alignment Tool

  • Art Nr: 720010
  • EAN Code: 8590831240314

Use this tool to check and correct the exact geometric position/angle of the rear mech hanger in relation the frame dropout. To do this, first unscrew the derailleur and mount the rear wheel in the frame.

    1. Remove the nut from the threaded spindle, then screw the tool into the derailleur hanger as far as it will go and lock it with the nut (SW 17).
    1. Check at several points that the perimeter of the wheel is evenly spaced from the rim (using the tool measuring pin).

If there are any differences, the derailleur hanger position needs to be adjusted accordingly, by applying gentle pressure on the tool to bend it back straight.

Drop Out Alignment Tool

  • Art Nr: 720011
  • EAN Code: 8590831240321

Use the CYCLUS TOOLS dropout control gauge to check and correct the exact geometric position of the dropouts of the frame.

  • To use the calibration tool, remove the wheel from the frame (or fork) and clamp both gauges in the axle mount.
  • Adjust to the different diameters and installation widths by moving the sleeves on the tool to ensure a good fit.
  • If the dropouts are positioned correctly, the face planes of the gauges will be parallel to each other, if the two sides of the tool don't align the dropouts must be realigned accordingly.
